Decent quality as long as you make sure hardware stays tight. They always need to be tightened so I added some blue locktite and it seems to be working good so farI wanted to LOVE this as much as my Grandson does, but I cannot get the drum set to tighten up, I’ve assembled & disassembled a few times to try to get it right, it’s still very flimsy, and a pain in the rear, maybe I got a defective drum set, I don’t know.Great quality for the price. My Granddaughters love it! They are 2 and 3 years old.It was one of the cheapest (real) small drum sets I could find and it was pretty much what I expected. My only problem is to peices the top drums go I keep turning to the drums fall over. My 4 year old doesn't mind cuz it does happen that often than they are more of a toy. I don't think he'd actually be able to learn the drums with them moving like that. All I can say is, it's a good thing I didn't write this review the same day I assembled these drums....they would have gotten 1 star. These sat in a box for a month until Christmas Eve because, well, where the heck do you store fully assembled drums? So at 10:30 on Christmas Eve (my husband was at work all night, so it was up to me), I sat down to begin the task of creating a drum set for my 4 year old rock star wannabe. I took everything out and laid it on the floor, and, surprise surprise....THERE WERE NO DIRECTIONS!!! After I panicked for a good 10 minutes, I set out trying to figure things out.First, I put together the stool. Woohoo, that was done. Then I assembled the cymbal. 2 down...what looked like 8,000 to go. I admit, this is where the sheer volume of pieces started messing with my head. I looked up the picture on Amazon, and used that to slowly start to figure things out (but it took several times going back and forth from my computer, which is upstairs, to the drums, which were downstairs). Once I got the hang of it, it really wasn't that bad, and I had the whole thing done in about an hour and a half. Admittedly, some of that time was spent blankly staring at the mess of parts before me. But seriously? If you're not going to include directions with your product, at least have the decency to label the outside of the box with a giant, red warning label that reads: WARNING: DO NOT BEGIN ASSEMBLY LATE CHRISTMAS EVE!Because my son loves these so much, I only docked one star for my ordeal. They are, indeed, an awesome set of drums. My son is thrilled and has been playing them nonstop (which has made me question the purchase more than once:). They seem incredibly sturdy and well made, and I'm sure he will enjoy them for some time. My only other gripe is that Santa gets all the credit for mommy's hard work;)These are a great set of drums!!This is a Christmas present for my 2 yr old that is OBSESSED with drums. I put it together by myself early to make sure all the parts were there (they are) and nothing was wrong (nothing is). I spent hours on many different sites checking reviews for all the different kids' drum sets and this one didn't have any reviews BUT it was the only one that didn't have a ton of bad reviews- so I bought with high hopes. I was NOT disappointed! The drums are all wood and metal, the height of pretty much everything is adjustable. Two of the drums you have to put the skins on yourself and, at first glance, they really seem like some cheap dinky plastic, but once I got them on and tightened down I was pleased. With the support legs the set is sturdy, I jiggled it and wiggled it around and it didn't topple or lean at all. I'm confident it will not fall on my child. I have 2 reasons this did not get a perfect 5 stars 1- no matter how much you tighten the top drums on the metal pole they still pivot. I can just imagine my daughter moving them around causing them to bang into each other. And 2- there are NO instructions for putting them together and not all the parts are labeled. HOWEVER I managed to get the whole thing put together in 30-45 mins by myself and I have absolutely no experience with drums, their basic set up or anything. It is a drawback but any reasonable person with some common sense can get everything put together just fine. I do wish there were some kind of guide to say how much to tighten the skins down on the drums, I was worried I would do it too tight and bust them (didn't happen, just go slow). This set hasn't been tested by my monster yet but I'm not having any worries about how it will hold up and I will update after she's used them a while. I highly recommend this set to anyone who is looking for a decent, more serious drum set for their child! We bought this in conjunction with a guitar for our 4-year-old twin boys and, while we worried about how annoyed we would get with the amount of noise and chaos we were subjecting ourselves to, IT IS PERFECT!Our boys love them and are making "music" constantly! The amount of joy they are getting out of these is completely worth the noise. (Plus, we put them upstairs in their playroom, so it's not so bad). One thing I would suggest is getting/using ear protection of some kind for the kids. The drums are LOUD and our boys had a hard time playing without something to dampen sound.
